What to Expect from your wedding viewing

Wedding viewings at Elmley are relaxed and personal. They're about us getting to know you, you getting to know us and for you to see the spaces, and get a feel for Elmley's soul. Viewings tend to be about 1-1.5 hours, but we can of course work around you and your schedule.

What Will my Wedding Viewing Include?

• A Warm Welcome & Introduction. We’ll start with a chat over your wedding ideas so far — what you’re dreaming of, what you’re unsure about, and what kind of atmosphere you’d love to create.
  
• Tour of Kingshill Farm & Ceremony Spots. We’ll walk through the barns, accommodation, outdoor ceremony areas, and key locations around the reserve. You’ll get a feel for the spaces, the flow of a wedding day, and the beautiful scenery that makes Elmley so special.
  
• Talk Through Your Days. We’ll guide you through the flow of celebrations here — from arrival the day before, to the ceremony and reception layout, to the morning after

We can also help by:

• Giving personalised advice and supplier recommendations
• Working with you to shape your timeline and logistics
• Providing coordination behind the scenes throughout your wedding
• Offering our support with your suppliers, set-ups, and ceremony arrangements

You’ll leave your viewing with a clear idea of how our team will look after you from the moment you book to the moment you say goodbye as newlyweds.

We specialise in tailoring each wedding to the couple, so feel free to ask anything as you go! We're a small team and work closely with our couples throughout their wedding journey, we know wedding planning can be a little daunting at first especially at flexible venues, so we'll talk you through how we'll work with you and guide you throughout the planning process and the support you'll receive during planning and on the big day.

Visiting Elmley is a full experience, so do feel free to arrive ahead of your viewing appointment time, or stay a while after, to explore and admire the reserve. Our miles of walking trails guide you across Elmley's unspoilt landscapes; every step reconnecting you more and more with nature.

After your walk, sink even deeper into relaxation with an Elmley Signature Treatment, or a Hydrating Facial, in our Swale Studios Wellness Centre. If you'd like to immerse yourself in the Reserve's abundant wildlife and plant-life; and learn more about Elmley's fascinating history, you can arrange to join one of our Group Walking Tours or Group Land Rover Tours. Simon, Abbie, and Fiona have extensive experience in wildlife, conservation and tour-leading, and love helping guests (and the Elmley team!) explore their interest in nature. Some of our couples decide to tie in their viewings with an overnight stay in one of our lovely Shepherd's Huts. We think staying the night before or after your viewing is such a lovely way for Elmley to introduce itself to you, and for you to start making memories in a place that will (hopefully!) become special to you both.
