2024 was a wonderful Spring with record numbers of breeding pairs of rare and threatened species doing well, from apex predators to elusive ducks.

Elmley’s long-standing vision has always been to make nature inclusive and accessible for all. Now, thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we’re embarking on a new Nature Programme that allows us to share the Reserve like never before.

The South East is a busy, densely developed place, where nature is disrupted and squeezed.
