Step away from the festive hustle and spend the day at Elmley
We're delighted to be hosting a wreath making workshop and day retreat with Hannah Bullivant.
Hannah is an interiors stylist & writer, with a wonderful gift for soulful styling, celebrating nature and the seasons. Based just over the water from us, Elmley is under Hannah's skin. And this is a wonderful opportunity to experience Hannah's popular floristry workshops in person, taking inspiration from Elmley' s views and winter wildlife.
The day will start with a walk led by Abbie, our nature guide, giving you the chance to switch off, blow the cobwebs away and immerse yourself in Elmley's wild landscape and nature.
After the walk we will settle into the beautiful Farmhouse kitchen, with a glass of Elmley plum fizz and festive cake. Hannah will lead you in a wreath making session. A wonderfully creative & meditative activity. Hannah is a natural and experienced teacher, and no experience is necessary to make beautiful festive wreaths.
Then kick back, relax and admire your handiwork over a simple lunch in the Farmhouse dining room.
After lunch explore the Reserve at your leisure. Hannah will introduce a self-guided journalling worksheet to help you relax and reflect amongst the huge afternoon skies and flocks of winter birds.

Bring a friend or family member and unwind for the day in one of the most beautiful locations in the South-East (according to me, anyway!) The moment you set foot into the reserve at the start of its long and winding drive, your shoulders will drop. You’re greeted with huge skies and miles of marsh land and wildlife. We’ll start our day with a talk with Elmley host Abbie who will share the history of the reserve and show us the still-abundant wildlife. After your walk we will gather in the gorgeous farmhouse to warm up with a cuppa. I will teach you how to make an Elmley-Inspired Winter wreath for your home in a meditative beginner-friendly class with all materials supplied. A glass of plum fizz and mince pie will provide an energy boost! Following the class, lunch will be provided in the farmhouse. You will have the rest of the day to explore the reserve complete with a self-guided journalling worksheet to take with you to help you to unwind and relax.
